What Is ACA Health Summit?
This year marked the 10th anniversary of the U.S. health insurance exchanges as part 2014’s Affordable Care Act. It was not always possible to say this, but the Individual health insurance market is a growth opportunity.
For the first time since 2016 enrollment has topped 16mm individuals. Similarly, insurer participation is also at an almost all time high. More importantly from the consumer perspective, the increase in plan participation is reflected in greater plan choice, with 4 percent of counties offering access to only a single insurer in 2023, compared to 52 percent in 2018.
Never before has there been a place where the industry can convene to discuss the most pressing issues, see new companies and new technologies, and network with peers, all in the pursuit of making sure the maximum number of lives have the coverage they need.
